In perfectly lovely condition, this antique Cannetille decorated Victorian gemstone ring dates to the 1860's/70's or so and is influenced by the revival of ancient Gold working techniques, the fine 'Cannetille' beads and wires can be seen in jewels from the ancient world which were at the time a popular show in museums. The gorgeous glow of the Pyrope Garnets and lustre of wild Pearls display the rich palette of colours which would have complimented the velvets and taffetas of the day just beautifully! With pretty engraved shoulders adding to the picture it is all hand crafted in deep gleaming 18ct yellow Gold, the ring size is an 'O' or '7.25' but we could adjust a wee bit to suit.
